按语法规则，英语中就不应该有 next morning 的表达。因为“明天早上” 是 tomorrow morning，“第二天早上；次日早上” 是 the next morning，带有序数概念：指过去或将来已确定的某天的“次日”，如在间接引语中，描述tomorrow morning 时就用 the next morning。无论在直接引语或间接引语中，都没有 next day 或 next morning/afternoon/evening 的说法。但可以有next week/month/March/season/year 的表达。指离说话最近的那个时间。在现实英语或英语文学作品中，偶尔会见到 next morning 或 next afternoon 的表达，也不能算错。
